hCG Diet and Fatigue: What You Should Know and What You Can Do About It

The hCG diet is a very calorie-restricted diet. Phase 2 of the original hCG diet will have you eat only 500 calories (but has since been increased to 800 calories).

Now, why is this so? That is because the Human Chorionic Gonadotropin, most commonly known as the “hCG Hormone”, works wonders in losing weight but it has to follow a certain criterion for it to work properly.

You see, you need to consume only a limited number of calories so that the hCG hormone will be forced to burn fat instead of calories and convert them to energy.

If you consume a lot of calories while on phase 2 of the hCG diet, the diet may not be as effective as there will be enough energy source from calories, and thus, the hCG hormone may not work as intended.

Now, since you are only going to consume 500-800 calories per day, many people are suffering from fatigue. Fatigue is characterized by a feeling of tiredness.

This is especially prevalent among hCG dieters due to the nature of the diet plan itself. But, if you’re feeling tired far too often, what can you do about it?

Well, in this article, I will talk about ways you can combat fatigue and what you can do to prevent it from happening while you’re on the hCG diet.

  1. Get a Move On. Contrary to popular belief, you shouldn’t rest too often when you’re fatigued, but rather, you need to move it. What I mean by this is that you need to do something in order for you to not feel fatigued. You can do simple things like walking around your neighborhood, for example. The physical activities need not be strenuous; just enough for your blood to keep moving.
  2. Practice Yoga. Yoga has a lot of health benefits. One of these benefits is that it gives you a whole lot more energy when you’re on the hCG diet. Also, Yoga frees your mind as well so it is actually a one-two punch in helping you not only relieve yourself of fatigue, but you also relieve yourself of stress.
  3. Drink Lots of Water. Water is an essential part of our lives. Water not only hydrates us but it does a lot of health wonders as well. If you are experiencing fatigue, chances are, you are slowly dehydrating. Drinking water ensures that you get hydrated, and thus, helping you avoid fatigue altogether. Furthermore, Water also helps you feel full so that you do not want to reach out for food and thus, it helps you stick to the hCG diet plan.
  4. Get a Good Night’s Sleep. We sleep 1/3 of our lives and it is important that you sleep at least 7-8 hours a day to ensure optimal growth and optimal weight loss. Getting a good night’s sleep will surely replenish your energy, despite the fact that you’re on the hCG diet.

These tips have helped a lot of hCG dieters combat fatigue while they are on their journey to weight loss.

If you find yourself suffering from fatigue while on the hCG diet, be sure to follow all of these tips and you will prevent fatigue from ever happening to you.
